Giving of the Flower

Emotions that dwell within my flower

Reach peaks and valleys that are my power

For every moment in loneliness and despair

Know the polar of intensity and I aware

But you however—never seem to attain the start of my peaks

And always fall quite short of my valleys for you do not achieve

The ecstasy of one who seeks love as your passion

Through your mediocre world; straight line assassin.

Aye~ ’tis you that I pity; for you will never know

Love true in honor, that from a giving heart will grow

For ‘tis the ‘giving’ part, of the heart, that makes it so…

'f' is for flower

Poem by Emily Dickenson

I hide myself within my flower

that fading from your vase,

you, unsuspecting feel for me--

almost a loneliness
