Oestara - Happy Spring!
Once upon a time, long ago;
Ever after the last fall of snow--
Serenity - Queen of the Faery,
Tantalized the King of Derry.
Attentive to each others needs,
Rendered him giver of the seed.
As time passed and they grew old,
His next of kin became quite bold!
As to inquire why she was not his wife?
Ponder did he - upon their happy life.
Pardoning the rudeness his kin displayed,
Yesterdays he reminisced and weighed.
Searching for answers to satiate their curiosity.
Precious moments passed as he gazed at Serenity...
Reliving their carefree, spontaneous ways,
In love and grateful for his beautiful Fae,
Negotiated by proclaiming the Kingdom obtained;
Great abundance without wedding ball & chain!
And they lived happily ever after.
Oestara is celebrated on the Vernal or Spring Equinox in Pagan cultures where life, fertility, and love are celebrated with festivals of eating and drinking to be merry, for "the future is no place to place your better days."-dmb
