The Phobias
BIBLIOPHOBIA ~ FEAR OF BOOKS
Back away real slow
Intent on putting a space
Between you and foe
Look at it in its case
Inching closer to me
Opening and closing
Perhaps if I just agree
Horrible as I stand dosing
Open it! Open it!
Before it comes after you!
Is it going to quit?
Anticipate the worst – BOO!
GELIOPHOBIA ~ FEAR OF LAUGHTER
Grief stricken and as somber as a tomb
Every day filled with darkness and gloom
Laughter, no way, I may lose control
Instantly crying and emotional
Ounces of horrendous pain
Pornographically insane
Happy laughter is evil to the core
Only leaves a soul craving more
Best to turn away and let it be
Incongruently unfriendly you see
After all it’s that thing called laughter.
LYGOPHOBIA ~ FEAR OF DARKNESS
Lights, lights, please turn on the lights
Yellow glow, white glow in blue right?
Goodness please keep it in my sight
Originally peering through the gaps
Perpendicular as it maps
Hidden corridors that stay dark
Obituaries are always smart
Break the black that surrounds me
Interconnecting the beams
After light, dark is not clean.
