Nothingness
I gaze upon the world of man and wonder why?
Why do we as humans completely defy
The natural laws of the universe in vain
Like we can stop the wind and the rain.
This land fill that stinks to no end
Created by us as we try to send
Nothingness to future generations
Rubber tires, garbage with conversations
Gone awry, drifting down empty corridors
Of meaningless acts of meanness before
We destroy what could have been.
A beautiful legacy of love to intend
Gifts of peace instead of this filth
As the trees and flowers we wilt
Into nothingness.
